"Many of the most prolific and creative people understand how stifling a blank slate can be... All creatives need some constraints. All artists need structure. Some of the most creative poetry comes in fixed forms such as the Japanese haiku or the English sonnet."

- David Burkus

Description

This tool was designed to generate good ideas, not just random ones. All ideas generated by this tool should have some cohesive structure. The goal is to produce ideas that at least make a little bit of sense. You're never going to get:

"A racing game where you can't jump,"

but you may get

"A racing game where you can't drive."

Features

- Plaintext output. All ideas will be formatted as if a friend was directly giving you the idea.

- Four options: a full game, a genre, a theme, and a name.

- Two different output types; a default single idea output, and a continuous console-like output.

- Genre and complexity filtering. Filter your ideas by complexity and a specific genre that you may be looking for ideas for. Filtering will almost certainly lead to duplicate idea outputs at the moment.

Important

This tool is a very early prototype/proof-of-concept. There may be a few spelling errors, glitchy outputs, etc...

If you feel as though this tool should be developed further, then feel free to comment or donate if you feel so inclined.

Plans For 1.0.0

- Mobile support.

- Imagery functionality.

- The ability to input a theme, or seed that the program will then use to generate ideas.

-Fix the duplicate value bug that sometimes occurs (usually with ideas that use multiple game genres).

cool!

I don't know if you're still developing this, but I suggest adding a feature to check multiple genres - not "Any" but multiple different ones. Other than that it's a fantastic product! 10/10

Literally unusable because they wrote frist-person and not first-person smh.

Aww my bad man. Will be fixed in the next update. Maybe then the ideas will actually make sense.
